Gmail pop3 moto q

Has anyone got there Moto Q pop3 to connect to there gmail account to receive emails. I can do it via outlook and syncing, but i want to get the emails with out having to sync it all the time. I also noticed cricket does not allow you do receive text messages from google, via email or google search.
 
No.. cricket blocks all ports but 80 and 8080... Pop3 uses different ports (so does IMAP), so we can't configure pop email access unless cricket removes/unrestricts their proxy.
