Hey guys, not sure if this has been posted yet, but i've been using it on my E62 and it looks fantastic.

Here is the website from Google:

Here is an article, small excerpt:

http://www.techcrunch.com/2006/11/02/gmail-for-mobile-launches-today/

Gmail for Mobile, a downloadable gmail application for java-enabled phones, launches this morning at 5 AM PST. Previously, users were only able to access gmail via a mobile browser. But for java-enabled phones, using the Gmail for Mobile application will significantly speed email use.

Also, if you are having trouble here are some direct locations to use on your mobile to download the application:

(Listing for all models regardless of Nokia)
A few direct links if you can't download it from the network:

Generic : http://www.gmail.com/app/v1.0.0/en/gm-Generic-Advanced_MIDP2.jad (tinyurl.com/ymgz9e)

SE k750i : http://gmail.com/app/v1.0.0/en/gm-Sony_Ericsson-K750.jad (tinyurl.com/y3ch4b)

Nokia : http://gmail.com/app/v1.0.0/en/gm-Nokia-Advanced_MIDP2.jad

Samsung : http://gmail.com/app/v1.0.0/en/gm-Samsung-Advanced_MIDP2.jad

Here's the jar file that all java-enabled mobiles are directed to

Download it to your PC, transfer it to you mobile and install it.
This way you save some pennies you would have spent downloading through you mobile.

Enjoy! At the moment you have to manually refresh the application in order to receive updated e-mail but it's definitely worth it for the features that come with the app.

It works much like the mail client already on most phones to connect to the Gmail service from what I gather. Same as using WAP, or MediaNet on Cingular.

the concept of the application is ok i guess, but im surprised no one other than me is complaining about the fact that the program doesnt link up to your address book on your phone, thats a huge oversight to me
