My brother in law works at General Motors and due to it closing down he was offered a transfer. Him and his wife asked to borrow a couple thousand dollars from us until he got their transfer bonus. I researched and found that transfers were getting an 8000 dollar transfer bonus a couple weeks before they transfer and like 12 or 16 thousand after they get there, so i lent them the money (which they shouldn't have needed since they make almost triple what we do). He transferred tuesday and now they are telling me that they are not getting the transfer money since he decided to commute back and fourth everyday from work rather than relocating there. Does anyone know anything about this or am I being lied to?
