...coming into town? the guy I baught this 96 cavalier Z24 from said that gm transmissions have a hard time if you DONT switch to 3 when in town that if you do your gas mileage will suffer some but will prolong the life of the tranny (FYI: the car has 178k on it)..... I want to know if any GM mechanics think there is any truth in this as gas mileage suffers some..... ALSO any advice for me?
