GM product vehicle,3400 motor, top end?

sounds like a lifter,tapping noise, can anyone give a remedy of what or where the noise is coming from...The actual car is a Olds silhowette, and has 63000 miles,2001

Sounds like valves lifters, but cannot say for sure.
