gm cotton candy machine model 3017; no heat. whats wrong?

I have a gold medal cotton candy machine model number 3017 and earlier today we took it apart and gave it a good cleaning. We put it back together and discovered that the heat wouldn't work, Does anybody know what could have happened Or a mistake we could have made putting it back together? [wires crossed?] All help is appreciated, Cortney
 
Maybe you should try taking it back apart and putting it together again?
I don't know, I've never owned a cotton candy machine.
