how come millions of years ago it seems there was no correlation between CO2 and temperature

but recently there is

if higher temperatures cause the oceans to release more CO2, wouldnt the released CO2 strengthen greenhouse effect, thereby increasing the temperature, and start a vicious cycle?

You say that millions of years ago there was no relation between CO2 and temperature, but your first link shows a definite relationship.

Today there are two factors going on. All of the power we use creates pollutants that are causing haze around cities and also causing clouds to reflect Sun light. This is causing Global Dimming.

Global Dimming is reducing the immediate effects of Global Warming but any reduction of Global Dimming will immediately show that Global Warming is actually worse than we know.

Take care,
Troy

Higher temperatures allow the oceans to release more C02 and this has been the case during most of the earth's history. This time C02 is the cause of higher temperatures because of the green house effect.
