...environment? You all do realize it takes between twenty and thirty years to build a nuclear power plant. Wind and solar energy don't come close to the electric output of a coal fire plant. Most coal fire companies are already planning nuclear plants because of the cost of coal. There is already an incentive to switch over to other power sources like nuclear, it's cheaper.
Do you not think it is a little extreme to put a tax on carbon which will just be passed off to the consumer. If the consumer is the only one affected then how is that an incentive for anything to change. We all have to have electricity and gas, we can't just boycott them.
