giving fish to my pet dog?

are dogs alowed to eat fish ? my dog loves fish and i dont give him a lot since i dont now if its good for him .... i dont see many dog food with fish , is there somthing bad ?

btw when i give my dog fish , i make sure its cooked and i inspect it 100% to make sure there is no bones

and also is salmon
