I have always been kind of quiet around new people and girls that I like and I always assumed that this was why most girls didn't like me. However, it has been becoming more and more clear to me that the reason girls don't like me is because they think I am "strange". For example, I over heard two girls in my english class talking and one of them mentioned something about me being decent looking or cute and the other said "Really? he is such an awkward person". I kind of understand where she is coming from though as I often have problems communicating. For example, most of my friends think that I am a pretty funny person, but whenever I am talking to a person I don't know or a girl that I like I have a hard time being funny and often just come across as strange. Is my "social awkwardness" the reason that most girls don't like me? or could there be some other reason like my appearance?
---------------- this is what I look like if it helps. I am normally not that tan by the way, I am like normal complexion. I don't think of myself as conceited or self-concious about my looks- I think I am pretty average looking.
