Girls: is it weird when a guys calls you on the phone randomly?

like i mean if there's a guy who you know, you text sometimes but never really call, calls you, is that weird?

hows a good way for a guy to start calling a friend who's a girl on the phone without making it seem weird?
 
I'm not usually a big fan of talking on the phone and prefer texting. But if they have a reason to call me it's cool. It's weird to me only when they call me and then have nothing to say to me. Cause then it's like, what did you call me for?

If you want to start calling her I suggest coming up with a reason to have called her. Keep it short and sweet the first couple times. If she wants to know why you didn't just text her, say your text messages are on the fritz at the moment and you decided to just call her instead.
