girls...is it weird if a guy uve spoken to once asks u out?

im 18 in college, and theres this girl in one of my classes who is really pretty, i think shes kinda shy cuz she never talks... would it be weird to ask her out, even though we never talk??, u cant really talk in class, and shes always liek 5 mins late, so i can only talk to her after... thx
