When my GF and I have sex i have a habit of asking her before i do something intimate. For example, we'll be laying in bed and i'll run my hand up her shirt and massage her belly, i'll ask, "can i go higher?" she always sais yes. Another example is asking her if i can kiss her, she always laughs a bit but i feel so shy, and i dont want to get slapped if i 'assume' wrong. lol
