hey Y!A, why girls continue to complain that if guys have lots of sex they're studs, and if they do it they're whores? As if double standards against guys don't exist? Not everyone thinks a guy having lots of sex is a stud, so where the hell does that come from?

Frankly that is starting to slowly change anyhow.

Please try not to whine or use personal attacks or just spin the question. (like most of the answers usually are...)

The virgin/whore complex that you are referring to is more deeply seeded in our culture and more detrimental. While double standards do absolutely exist in our society for men, they are less detrimental, at least in this case. You will never hear about a man 'putting out' and you will never hear the old 'why buy the cow' atage when reffering to a man. The virgin/whore complex is more detrimental to women than the stud complex is to men because we still live in a world where a woman is valued based on her perceived sexuality, whether that is purity, impurity or availability.

Quit frankly, I don't think most people even understand the concept of what a "stud" and a "whore" actually is, and how it applies to men and women. And so you end up with many people mindlessly ranting about how it's a double standard, or no it's not, without really understanding the dynamics of it.

A guy and a girl can be a stud, and both can be whores.

A stud is = to calling someone a 'talented hard worker.' A whore is equal to calling someone a 'cheap, lazy glutton'.

Bascially what that means is, if you work hard to get quality people to have sex with you, and you have the talent to make that happen a lot, your a Stud. If you find the most easy, desperate, trashy people to have sex with you, and your a glutton about it, your a whore.

Easy concept.
