Girlfriend has mood swings, one minute she loves next she wants to be on her own.

She cant make up her mind? I met a girl last year who had just come out of a serious relationship in which her ex had cheated on her. Understandbly she was very hurt by this but she still had a house with him so things were difficult aqt first. We just started of as friends then went out on the odd casual date. She moved out 6 months ago and we got more serious. She had a couple of moments where she freaked out and said she needed to be on her own but then would ring me and say she missed me and she's been an idiot and she loves me. Things were going fine until a few weeks ago and she had occasional moments where she would be withdrawn and quiet for no reason. Obviously this would upset me and she said she didn't know why. All she would say is if she hadnt met me she would be n her own cos that's what she needed after what the ex did to her but she loved me so was so confused. Her ex still sends her texts but she always shows me them & never replies but this obviously unsettles me. She's not the sort of girl who can be horrible to people so finds it hard to tell him where to go, which i think she should do as i worry he might get into her head. I know she would never go back to him as she pretty much hates him but they were friends from childhood so she finds it difficult. Last week we went out and she was so quiet and when i asked what was wrong she burst into tears and said she doesnt know but thinks she needs to be on her own. I got upset and we went back to her house and i started to pack my things up but then she wouldnt let me leave and said she knew as she was saying it she was saying the wrong thing. I said what would happen if i had just left and she said she would have turned up on my doorstep wanting be back. A week past and she has been ill. I rang her to arrange to see her but again she was quiet. I got annoyed and she said she thinks we are more like friends than boyfriend/ girlfriend which i dont agree with as we are very affectionate and always telling each other we love one another. I left it, sent her a couple of texts and she says she thinks she needs to be on her own for a while to find out what she really wants. She doesnt want to keep having these mood swings with me as she thinks its not fair on me. I left it a few days and yesterday she text me saying she misses me and has been an idiot. I obviously miss and love this girl very much but just dont know what to do? We are meeting up tomorrow to have a chat. What should i do?
