I'm going to take a shot at it and produce some sets myself. I think I have pretty good vision when it comes to this. I'm having trouble getting the levels to work though, I need to practice that.
Thats the genre that he plays. Its mashup. He takes samples and layers from an average of a dozen tracks to make a new one.
In one way it isnt original because all beats and sounRAB were premade but then on the other hand he is taking them and creating a new and original track.
this is misleading. yes, he's used stuff that isn't pop (folk implosion, neutralk milk hotel, radiohead, etc), for the most part, it's 90% what would be what is considered "crappy pop songs"
I wouldnt say 90%. Sometimes you have to listen really close to hear some of the tracks used because they arent real obvious. The problem is, he pretty much only uses vocals from pop music which is the most obvious to recognize.
