1. Gilgamesh is a fate alive, the finest babe of Ninsun, she who never let a man touch her, indeed so pure and heavenly, so without fault. (Gilgamesh, Tablet 1)

This passage referring to Gilgamesh’s birth has a very familiar ring to it. What is the best-known example of this archetype in Western culture? Is this the only similarity Gilgamesh, the poem, shares with the source of this particular Western archetype?
 
I could be wrong, but the story of Gilgamesh has similarities to the Biblical story of Moses correct? Not this particular passage, but the story. It was an ancient Sumerian/Babylonian myth.
