Ok so I know I already asked this but the time ran out before I got very helpful answers. Not that the answers I got weren't helpful...but I still feel like I'm in the same place as before.
So here is what I asked before:

"So recently my boyfriend who is in the army gave me some personalized dog tags with a message that is special to only us. He's going to be going away to iraq soon so I will have those to remember him (not that I would forget, but you know what I mean:) )
Now I want to get him something too, so he can always have it with him to remember me by, but I'm having trouble thinking of something because I don't really know all the rules the army has about things like that. Like, I know you have to have your dog tags and you can have one religious symbol on you?
or something like that right? If it's tucked in and not visible?

I'm not sure. So do you guys have any suggestions of something I could give him that he could keep with him without getting in trouble or anything like that?"

thanks to everyone who answered the first time too :)

What I'm mainly looking for is things that he could keep with him or even on him that would be allowed... like a ring or something? Or something he could wear as a "religious symbol" even if it isn't really...
like how anal are they about that? would it have to be like literally a cross or something? Neither of us are religious any way so would it have to be an actual accepted religious thing?

The guys technically are not allowed to wear rings in Iraq. My husband kept his on him. He also had his wallet with him all the time and was able to carry an ipod and a camera. They are not allowed to have cell phones. They say the rules are pretty strict but they tend to be a little more lax during deployments. They do have dogtags that you can get a picture on and he can wear that on his dog tags or like my husband did and keep them in his pocket. You can also send them a lot of things they can keep in their rooms pictures etc. I decorated a pillow and sent it to my hubby you just have to learn to be creative.
