Alright long story... and please don't say anything not useful because I'm mechanically inclined, and I've talked to multiple mechanics that are lost as well... I have a 2001 pontiac grand am with the 3.4 liter v6. The gas gauge reads incorrectly and it has a starting problem when I get below a certain point of fuel. In the winter its about the first quarter mark and in summer its about half. At this point it hesitates to starts and if it does it runs just fine. If it doesn't start I have to go to the gas station with a gas can and bring home about five gallons of gas and it'll start up just fine. Once its running there is no problems at all its just the initial start up in the morning. I've driven this car on trips over 2000 miles without an issue. Its only that initial start up in the morning. My guess is the computer or the fuel pump but no one can seem to help me.....
