I was taking pictures on top of my apartment building in NYC one night. I was looking at them and in one photograph, there is what looks like a building obscured by fog/snow. This isn't in any of the other photos. I've had people suggest it's a shadow cast on the fog (it wasn't actually fog, it's just the snow... plus I was up 11-12 stories, so I don't think anything can cast a shadow that high). One person suggested it was dust/hair, but again, it's not in any of the other pictures, before or after.
Here are two pictures:
With the "building": http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3179/3333461464_eb788db6e4.jpg
Without: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3640/3333461462_b1ebe6ebb8.jpg
Keep in mind, the above pictures were taken one after the other.
It's facing southwest on the corner of 6th ave and 10th st in NYC. That clocktower is the Jefferson Market Library.
What do you think it can be?
Thanks!
