getting the soil just right for a garden?

so, the dirt here is sort of sandy (a very LIGHT gray). so its not that great for a garden. I was going to pay to have a truck load of good dirt haled in BUT as it turns out, I have an unlimited supply of horse manure.

So, Do I still need to get a truck load of good dirt hauled in OR...can I simply mix my sandy dirt in with this manure and that be that!??

You need the soil to mix with the sandy soil.
