Riding it home illegally with no street experience is a BAD BAD BAD idea. If anything goes wrong you will be in the sh*t with financial ruin, jail-time, or both. Borrow or rent a pickup—getting it in will be no problem, getting it out will be very difficult but doable. Otherwise force the guy to hold onto the bike, there probably isn't a whole lot that he can do about it. Do not ride it home illegally. Definitely don't listen to the 13 year old kid above me—if you listen to a 13 year old, you deserve whatever you get.

Im driving down to Pittsburgh (6 hours away) to get my bike. Im buying a 06 gsxr 750. I have absolutely no way to get it home. I dont have a trailer hitch and i really dont want to dish out $300-$400 on a uhaul. I dont have my license or insurance. I have my permit and about 5 years of dirt bike experience. My buddy with the same back ground as me did the same thing, but scaled down (rode 50 miles home) and he was fine. He told me i could use his plate for the day. How hard is it to ride home your first time? is it to risky? Is there any way to get it insured and registered in pennsylvania when i live in new york? Im not getting my license until my MSF class on the 16th and i dont think the guy will hold my bike till then. Thanks

p.s Try not to flame me for my first street bike being a 750 sport bike. I got a really good deal.

If you have already paid for the bike, he can't sell it. You could risk it, but if you get caught without insurance and registration, they will arrest you and take the bike on the spot. Just get in touch with the seller and explain it to him. I'm sure he will wait.

driving a street will be a breez for u since you have expereance from dirt bikes ride it around the town then go on the street as for insurence idk cuz im 13

Don't do anything stupid to get stopped and you probably won't.
Get there early and take your time.
