Getting residue off fish tank?

I am starting my fish tank up again, but there is residue from about two years ago. There is no water in it, its dry, but there is some kind of residue that won't come off with bleach, or windex, or vinegar water...any tricks? Can ya help me please?

scrub the crap out of it and maybe try soaking it in water itself if you haven't tried that already.

This is more than likely calcium deposit from hard water.

Us vinegar or lime and then scrub it hard to get rid of them. I have notices that although it may look ugly while the tank is empty, you won't notice it when it is filled with water.

Nothing will really make it go away.

Maybe try a really good acid, thats the only thing I can think off, but even that I doubt it.
