getting off methodone whilst pregnant

I am 10 weeks pregnant,and on methodone.I have two boys already.My first son was born addicted to methodone. Then i got clean and had my second son, that was a much nicer deliovery and it was so nice to bring my baby straight home not have to see him in ICU on morphine. Unfortunately im back on the methodone, but i refuse to have another baby on it. I want to klnow if there is anyone who has gotten off whilst pregnant and what they go through. I know its risky but its a risk im willing to take. I will not put another baby through that.
 
First let me say congrats on your pregnancy. I hope all goes well with it.

Please consult your OBGYN as to the best strategy. Any type of reduction of med causes stress to the body because the body doesn't want to be without the drug. Full blown WD, for example, can cause all sorts of medical issues. This is why you should consult a Doctor as to the best possible route for you to take, considering your full medical history, and most importantly, your pregnancy.

I certainly admire your for wanting to do what is best for your baby, so please see your OBGYN.
