Getting my hair to stay straight and medium-thin?

Yes, you do ned to get a good conditioner, but they do not sell good conditioners in a drugstore, you have to go to a salon. Drugstore shampoo is also really damaging and is a big cause of poofy hair. The big thing that you can do is stop trashing it by blow drying, never blow dry. Get a thermal styling spray, this will keep your hair straight all day long until you wash it out.

Everytime I wash my hair it gets all poofy and all over the place. I usually straighten it and sometimes blowdry it.

After I straigten it, it feels wirery(sp?). Then later in the day it gets real thick and curls at the bottom. I want to know how I can keep it straight, thin, and smooth.

Frustrated.

Firstly get a good conditioner for your hair type. If it's like mine Dove is extremely good, but you may also need to use an intensive henna conditioner once I week. I leave it in for 15 minutes. That should help to get rid of the coarse feeling.

Secondly get a straightening serum to protect your hair from the heat, if you use heat styling you REALLY have to look after your hair. The less you do the worse it gets, and the worse it feels.

If it's in really bad condition it may take a while for you to notice any change (you may have to wait for it to grow out), but persevere, it's worth looking after your hair.
