I recently bought a car from a private seller and it's been a couple days and the car is still not insured or registered. I was told that most likely the DMV would not register my car without proof of insurance. So do I need insurance first? Is it required?
And if I apply for insurance, whats the cheapest insurance I can buy? I don't want anything fancy and too much to pay for until I get a job and all of my money is coming from my own pocket. The private owner told me something about POPD so if anyone can flesh that out please.
