Getting more fearful I may lose my wife and I'm at a loss for what I should do?

I talked with a social security disibility advocate yesterday and she informed me that I would not be able to get disibility benefits even though I have the required work credits to obtain it. She essentially said that I am not disabled enough and the judge in the case would focus on the fact that I was told to work from home or get a desk job by the orthopedic surgeon.

She recommended that I talk to a vocational rehab center and have them train me for something that I am able to do. I did some research to that end and what I'm finding out is that they probably will not help me. They set new regulations regarding vocational training here in Florida back in 2008. It's kinda like a triage system. Those that are the most disabled will get funding first and then it trickles down from there. I would fall into the last tier that they have.

I applied to where my wife works last week at Olive Garden and they were supposed to do their call backs this week on those that they are interested in. I have yet to receive a call back from them. I guess in a way that will at least show my wife that it's not easy getting hired, even when you know someone in the place of business. Olive Garden does allow husbands and wives to work at the same location.

I honestly just do not know what to do anymore. Seems like I am stuck in the middle where I can't get help from the government, nor can I get help from a vocational rehab. Getting a desk job isn't even something that I can just go and do, since I have 0 experience at it.

I'm just getting more and more discouraged and more and more fearful that I will lose my wife because of this. She is very into the husband is supposed to provide for his family. How can I provide when I can't seem to get the help that I need?
Degrees require me to pass a level of math that I am unable to accomplish. I have never gotten past basic fractions in math. I have tried and tried to do algebra, but I can never seem to get the hang of it.
Redwire, I have been applying to jobs for over 2 years now. I only got injured back in May and my job selection is now limited since I am unable to do anything that requires manual labor.
Zero, it's not the pain that's an issue. I cut two flexor tendons in my left hand that control my middle finger. It is perpetually stuck in the extended position. I can not flex it at all. I have to wear a splint on it to protect it as well as so I don't offend anyone accidently.

Because of this injury, my whole hand is affected. I have no strength and the ortho said that I won't be able to get back some of that strength unless it gets repaired. Can't get it repaired since I don't have insurance and it's a couple surgeries and months of rehab.
