I am getting married in 5 months and need help cleaning up my skin. My face breaks out quite a bit and I have blackheaRAB it's worse around my period and when I try using acne creams my skin starts to peel even though my skin is still oily. My back and chest also break out but not that bad just a few here and there. I really want to have clear skin for my wedding day I am going to go tanning so hopefully that helps. Does anyone have any suggestions??
Coverup that works?
Moisturizer??
Acne Creams??
Over the Counter Vitamens/Herbals??

Hopefully one of you can help. Thanks in advance.

Hi and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! This may be a long shot, but, have you ever been evaluated by an endocrinoligist? I'm 44 now and suffered with acne my entire life from about the 5th grade. In the process of looking at something else, I found out that I suffer from a mild androgen excess and that is what is generating the acne (as well as some unwanted facial hair). It might be worth asking your doctor to check it out, especially if you still have problems with it on your back and chest at times.

Good luck!

I think tanning will make your acne worse...especially if you accidently get a burn.

Hi!

I've been to a dermatologist, and she told me I had "hormonal acne."
I only break out when it's just about "that time of the month"

I started using Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash and I use Clean and Clear Astrigent For Sensitive Skin. I have extremely oily skin--aways have. I've seen a drastic improvement in my skin: fewer breakouts, acne scars reduced --and disappearing! I don't get pimples and zits like I used too.

Pimples were always my marker when it came to "that time of the month".

Neutrogena also makes a body wash that cuts down on breakouts on the body.

Try it ... or see your doctor for what works best for you.

Im sure alot of stuff works but as far as the day coming and you being completely acne free and unstressed about getting more breakouts id check and see if i could get some low-dose accutane. I fought with body acne for YEARS, the only thing that got rid of it completely was accutane and that was almost 3 years ago and its still yet to come back. After your wedding you could dig deep to what the actual cause of your acne is if it came back but if you want to be completely acne free and not worried about your skin you'll need accutane.

I've always had trouble with acne, for christmas I had gotten Proactive and it truly did work, try that! see how you make out. Congrats on the wedding!
