getting less financial aid than last year?

for the upcoming year, i'm getting a lot less than this year. I dont understand why. This year, my family's income is really low and is less than last year. Yet, my financial aid for upcoming year is $3000 less. I dont think I made a mistake on my FAFSA because I checked over and over. Does any one else know why?
