getting into University of Illinois Urbana Champagne?

im going to be a junior this fall and my current GPA is 3.978.
i took the ACT about 2 years ago and ended up with a 29

i know im not one of the best students and im planning to get straight a's next year to bring up my gpa.

how hard is it getting into uiuc and do i still have a chance? it's my dream school
 
OMG, half of my friends go there. I think with these grades you are very likely to make it.
How about your extracurricular? Uni's like well-rounded students, and I can tell you most of my friends (the ones who made it) had quite a lot of extracurricular things to put down on the their apps.
