Getting into Stanford University?

Hello.

My dad went to Stanford and I would love to be accepted there and play on their Volleyball team. I'm not sure what I would like to do in the future, but I think that medical research would be interesting...
I'm only a freshman, so I have 4 years to plan ahead for college! But I know that everyone that applies has a 4.0 and does a lot of extracurriculars! So what can I do to stand out from the crowd?

I take Honors World History and Honors English (when I'm a junior this will amount to AP). I have fairly good grades, about a 3.8, but I will raise my grades to a 4.0! I made the JV volleyball team my freshman year and I will continue to play - possibly making Varsity next season? (I would love to play for Stanford's Volleyball Team, by the way!) I play Club volleyball outside of school along with playing on a district soccer team. Apparently, I have 1 college credit from a semester of video productions - and next year I plan on taking a chef class which would be another college credit! I know that I need much more than this to be accepted, so I was thinking about volunteering at a local animal shelter and during the summer, possibly becoming a councilor for a local camp!

What else can I do over my 4 years of high school to stand out on my application? What clubs do you think would be interesting for me to become involved in?
