On Thursday at 5pm I'm scheduled to go in and get cervidil put i, however I am already 90% effaced and 1 1/2 cm dilated been having contractions for the past 3 days but none to painful to do anything. The dr said it was going to be left in over night and they would start pitocin friday at 6 am, so for a total of 12 hours I'll have this in. I have read that sometimes the cervidil "opens" you up and enough that you start labor on your own, or they can break your water and labor could start like that. I'm hoping I won't even need pitocin but I guess we will see. Any experiences with cervidil and how it worked for you would be great. How dilated/ effaced were you when you went in and the result of cervidil? If pitocin wad need, ect? Just feeling very anxious!! Thankyou!
