I took Percocet 2 days ago and I am getting drug tested for a job in 5 days. Two years ago, I dislocated my shoulder playing hockey and was prescribed Percocet. 2 days ago, I bruised my rotator cuff (same shoulder) while playing hockey and the pain was killing me, so I took Percocet and it definitely helped because now the pain is gone. Out of 40 tablets in the bottle, I only used 4 total during the last 2 years. The problem is, it says to discard the bottle on 10/08 (october of '08) which I only noticed today -- I am not sure if it says that to make sure that it's not used past it's date because it loses it's potency or just to make sure it doesn't get into wrong hands. I don't have a prescription with me, but I DO have the bottle (not sure if the bottle itself isn't the prescription) on which it says that I am the person that the Percocet was prescribed to. Do you think I should be ok if I explain the whole thing while being tested?
