Getting annoyed with TMO's BB service

I seem to be having severe issues with TMO's blackberry service. It seems like almost daily, I'll lose data completely, and I need to toggle the wireless on/off to get things rolling again. As well, this morning, email gave out for a few hours (data was fine). I've only had my BB for a week, but is this normal?

Occasionally, I'll have an issue like that. It's rare, but it happens. You may want to contact t-mobile and see if they're having any coverage issues in your area. Alternatively, you may just want to try and resend your service books to see if that corrects the issue. Sometimes some wires get crossed behind the scenes and this will fix it. Go to Options > Advanced > Host Routing Table, click menu and go to Register Now. You should get a message in your inbox saying the handheld is registered. 9/10 that fixes email or data issues.

Still getting outages almost daily. Called T-Mobile, and their solution was to do a battery pull every few days. Is this standard practice for all BB owners?

It is typical for me when I tether to my laptop. Need to reset my cure up to 3 times on occasion. Very unreliable service unfortunately.

This is the reason why quit TMO at a rather pricey expense and switched to AT&T. Was on TMO for 5 years. All of a sudden sig strength dropped just a bit from 4 or 5 bars to 2 to 3 bars. OK still should have been fine but was not. Always loosing Data and MMS capability. Spent Hours and Hours and Days and Days on customer care calls. They promising me everything but not doing anything. After 3 mo of this I got angry enough in one call somehow the tech admitted that there were 3 towers in the Seattle area with problems. And they had been that way for months. They were unable to resolve the issue. I bet they are just overloaded capacity. Regardless I needed a service that worked so finally switched. Many other have no problems at certain areas etc, but I did.

Get used to it. I live in Los Angeles and put up with this for 2 of the last 5 years I have been with Tmobile. Many, many, many calls to Customer care and tech support did nothing for me. The last straw for me was a call last year when they told me they were aware of a tower being out in the area, I asked what the estimated resolution time was and the agent on the line told me there was no plan for a resolution. I was going to wait for my contract to expire this year but I just couldnt take it anymore. I took the $200 hit to my wallet and moved on.

I know that I'm going to be flamed but I'm not a fan boy of any carrier. I moved away from Tmobile and opened up with service with a different carrier and I have not had any further problems. Remember that those coverage maps mean nothing. My area shows that I'm supposed to have service and I could never hold onto a call for more than 2-5 minutes.

I live in NY and have no issues, but like someone said, the coverage might not be the issue. I personally think its the phone but correct if I'm wrong if you do actually find what's wrong. Gd luck to you~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

I have had tmo for 5 years with very little problems. I am on my 3rd 8100, first stopped getting much signal at all, I might get one bar if I was lucky and had no data reception. After I got a new one it was perfectly fine. . . Until that one had the earphone socket burn out lol but I have lived in Missouri the first 3 years of my contract, then moved to cali. My sister had sprint and during the drive from Missouri she had signal in only major cities. I will never get that expensive plan lol tmo had at least 2 bars all the way across country. Then in cali it would get a max of 4 bars until two months later, now I get all 5 in most places.

I am a huge fan of tmo prices and service. You won't be getting me to switch

I've been on TMO for almost 7 years and have never really had a problem with servie (or the price). I currently use an 8320 and have had the BEST signal and coverage of any of the phones I've ever had. Occasionally I cannot get my WiFi to connect but that usualy just requires a reboot of the BB, which I tend to do every couple of weeks anyways.

I haven't had issues with TMO and I've been a happy subscriber for over three years. It really depends on your area and your phone. It seems the newer BBs are holding signal far better than the old ones, and TMO has far better customer service than any other network. Plus, the pricing is tops. I will never switch!
