Was it a smart move getting the 100k warranty on this car. My uncle says it wasnt a smart move, cuz most toyotas are reliable anyway, and i let the sales person WIN!! and gonna cost me a few extra bucks each year.... was it a smart move?
got the v6! woot.
yah it was just a peace of mind issue, i had so many problems with my VW, i was like screw it, im getting the 100k. the original was 36k/3years. and yes i drive about an hour each way to work. so hopefully it will pay off.

My vote is no, not a smart move. Toyota is giving you great warranty and is extremely reliable, especially RAV4. BTW did you get 6 or 4 cylinders?

Well, especially since you got V6! It is the best engine in Toyota line. And your warranty is 60,000 and 5 years on power train. Nothing can go wrong with Toyota.

But for a piece of ming - it might be smart. I have honda where I bought warranty for a piece of mind too.

Just do not have any regrets when your warranty will be unused at 100K. :-)

I don't buy extended warranties any more because when I did I never needed them and they are expensive.

I would guess you made a smart move. Most vehicles have some sorts of issues before 100,000 miles, even import brands. If you are the unlucky one, then the warranty is worth the money and peace of mind.
