hi all,
i'll be a senior in college next year, and so far my financial aid has been really good because i was a child of a single parent. but my dad got remarried last year and his wife's income is significantly higher than his, and they're filing jointly in their taxes. So, when i filed the fafsa, my EFC was a huge amount. I am no longer eligible for the pell grant and I know I won't have enough aid to cover everything. What is the process for getting a private loan? Do I have to wait for the bill to come in to know how much to take out? How can I get a loan with no credit, and if possible, how long does it take to build credit?
I know nothing about this stuff, so anything will be of great help, thank you!
