I am close to Buying a Honda xl125 rc (1982/83) from a friend of mine. The Bike is in good working order except for the Speedometer, it doesnt work.
The speedo-cable has been replaced and my friends assures me that it is the Head that needs replacing. I've looked around (including David Silver Spares) and no-one has them in stock.
The Garage person on the phone seemed to indicate that i don't actually have to use an original speedo, that in-fact any Motorcycle speedo will do the job.
Was shh right? If so, can you give me the name of a speedo that would work so i can order it and get it fitted?
