Hi there. So I have been looking for employment (as a waitress/server) for several months in the restaurant industry. I moved to the city from a rural area and am finding it really difficult to talk to anyone regarding employment. I have mostly had interviews for big chain restaurants talking to recruiters, who follow with a statement indicating that I did not get the job.
That's my quick explanation. I have 7 years of restaurant experience-- holding responsibilities of supervising, ordering, inventory, amongst providing customers with excellent service. I have worked in fine dining, have wine knowledgeably. I don't want to ramble on, but I know what I'm doing when it comes to serving guests.
After so much time, nothing. So I am rewriting my resume and trying to think of a new approach.
Does anyone have an advice. Maybe certain things I need to say or something? I have not had to deal with job seeking in such an impersonal manner--so maybe I'm missing something.
Any advice is appreciated, Thanks!
P.s. I have great references and no criminal or drug history. I have proof to work and all that stuff.
