I'm just starting out as a photography and film student. I love my major and can't imagine studying anything else. But I'm a bit worried about my future to because of the high competetion and my situation is already kind of sucky. car half dead, living at a friends house by renting a room, making just slightly over a grand a month. I jsut want a little shred of piece of mind, because I know the actual film and photography industries tend to be really competetive so just in case I wanted to know if it is likely that I could, if I needed to, get a retail management job eithier selling equipment like Best Buy, Ritz Camera etc. Or at a place like Blockbuster, or Moviestop, based on the fact that I would know the product extreamly well and just having a degree? I appreciate the help and anyone who is in hiring positions at such a place, your statements would be very very helpful.
