Getting a cricket account with no cricket phone?

How do i get a cricket account rolling on my htc touch pro? I have the info on how to program it but it how would i obtain an account without a proper cricket phone?
 
:^/ For me, my Cricket account for my Palm Treo 755p (Sprint) was created over the phone. I recall needing my credit card nuraber along with the Treo's ESN. Mind you, that was about three years ago, now, so things may have changed a bit.
