Get rid of Search History?

I am on a Mac computer and using Mozilla Firefox. When I type something in google, I see blue links and then purple links (links I clicked before) but how do I make it so that the links are blue again? I also want to know how to get rid of the search history in the google search bar in the top right corner. (I type 's' and it shows my history for s, then suggestions. How do I clear the history? Remember: I am using a Mac computer and Firefox.
