Hi, My son just bought his first telescope, a Bresser 70mm Refractor. I know it's not the greatest telescope, from reviews ive read, but have read also it's not too bad for the price (£60). When you look through where the eyepiece would be, images are slightly blurred, and when turning the focusing wheel it doesn't seem to make a difference. Can any one suggest a cause or reason as to why this is?
 
If it has more than one lense, use the one with lowest magnification and try again. Until you are used to using the telescope, use it during the day on terrestrial objects until you get the hang of using it - then point it skyward at night.
