I'm reading about WWI History, and it uses the phrase "Germany wanted a 'place in the sun'". I'm wondering if this refers to its Moroccan desires, or something else entirely.
Maybe a question about Germany's role in the tropical colonies, e.g. von Lettow-Vorbeck's campaign in Tanganyika, South Africa's capture of South-West Africa, or Australia's assault on German New Guinea?
