We have a thirteen week old GSD puppy who is pretty well behaved at home (with the exception of nipping). She listens well to commands (sit, come, etc.) and is overall good. But today we had our first puppy kindergarten class and it did not go so well. The other dogs in the class were very well behaved with minimal barking or whining. They sat expectantly waiting right in front of their owners. However our puppy was whining loudly, barking occasionally, and pulling on the leash trying to get to the other puppies. She disturbed the entire class for the entire hour session and was nearly impossible to control. The only time she was not totally fixated on the fellow puppies was when I would wave a treat in front of her face and pull her back to me. Please give some advice on how to get our GSD puppy to listen and look at me despite distractions instead of fixating on the other puppies and not pull on the leash trying to meet all other dogs. Thanks!
