For the past few months I have had real issues. Burning throat, what feels like burning in esophagus...kind of like when u in hale water at the pool or something like that. Chest aches in the mornings, throat burns all day despite zantac or tums. Tried two 14 day courses of Prilosec, no help and made my gallbladder go ape crazy. Off that for a while GB back to normal. tried One course of prevacid. no real help either. Can GERD/LPR feel like this?

It could be related to acid. Sometimes acid blockers don't help much with LPR symptoms, not totally sure why.

Non-drug options for reflux include eating frequent small meals, eating slowly and chewing well, sitting or standing up straight for an hour or two after meals. Identifying and avoiding trigger fooRAB is also helpful.

Some folks also claim that a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before meals can help trigger the valve at the top of your stomach (the LES) to work better, thus reducing acid reflux. My reflux tenRAB to be intermittent and stress-related. When I tried the vinegar, diluted in a half cup of water, it didn't do any harm and it might have helped end the bout faster.
