I have recently had something similar to that you describe.
My PCP thinks it's post-nasal drip, and I've been using a steroid nose spray. That has helped considerably, although my throat still gets dry. Any chance the sinuses are acting up on you?
I've had vocal cord cancer. That was 12 years ago, but anything happening to my throat naturally concerns me.
