We are learning about relations in my Proofs class right now. I feel like I understand the concept. There is one problem, though, that tells us to give a geometric description of the given relations, and I'm not sure what to do. Here is the problem:
For each of the following relations on R^2, give a geometric description of [(0,0)] and [(3,4)].
(2) Let T be the relation given by (x,y) T (z,w) iff x^2 + 3y^2 = 7z^2 + w^2, for all (x,y) , (z,w) in R^2
I think the answer for [(0,0)] is {(0,0)}, but I'm not sure how to do [(3,4)] or if I'm even doing it right at all. Any help would be appreciated
