Genesis 2:15 - Was Adam created IN the Garden of Eden?

[Genesis 2:15] "Yahweh God took the man and settled him in the garden of Eden to cultivate and take care of it."

Was Adam created in the Garden of Eden, out of earth taken from the Garden, or was he created elsewhere, then placed in the Garden?
