Gears of War freezing? WTF

I have had my system since launch, and I have had no problems what so ever with it. I bought gears of war on its release date and have played it through the campaign and online without an issue. I was playing yesterday online and it locked up on me, so I wait a few minutes and then restart the system. It turns on no problem and I decide to play co-op campaign with a friend and it freezes 2 minutes into the game. I restart the system once again and then we play for 30-45 minutes and then stopped.

Should I be concerned ?

Should I do that memory reset ( cache?) ?

Should I call MS and tell them about my system acting up ?

Any of you guys having this problem and can recomend me any kind of solution ?

I've never had a freeze occur in GoW, just the "Disk can not be read, the Disk is dirty or Scratched" error, which is fine once you restart, and I haven't had that in a long time.

There was supposed to be a GoW update before Christmas, maybe it'll be addressed then.

ive had mine do it once or twice, usually in multiplayer when theres a bunch of smoke and im zoomed in on it with sniper on escalation...... odd how its only then on that one level.

how would i go about cleaning the inside ?

My system has always laid on it's side since the first time I turned it on. I am not getting the dreaded red ring of light, but I am just worried about it.

I would I could get one fo those compressed air cans and spray in there, wouldnt that mess things up ?

If I bought another 360, would I be able to return my current one in the package and say it was defective? I know they all have serial codes on the outside of the units but do places like walmart and target even check ?

thanks element, I just shipped out my defective unit today. Hopefully they do not take as long to fix the problem as they did for my friend's 360.
