Gas Prices...?

Can someone explain to me why gas prices are SO effin HIGH... but, the gas companies are making such a big profit? If the oil is so expensive... Why are they making SO MUCH MONEY? Why can't the gas companies lower their prices? And why isn't that illegal for them to be making so much profit? I just don't get it? Is it the oil that's so expensive or the a**holes that make the gas that keep raising prices also? They're the ones making all the profits... right? It's REDICULOUS!!!! Something has GOT to change! I heard it's possible that it could get up to $7 gal!!! What is going ON!!??
I'm not talking about the people who own the stores... I'm talking about the EXECUTIVE guys... I'm all for the SUV's being GONE!! That would be nice!

i cant wait to read the repsonses you get to this cause i am dying to know as well! If gas gets to $7 a gallon ...even $5 or $6 this country is going be in A LOT of trouble, i mean... people wont be abelt o afford to get to work! I know i wont be able to! And when the average american cant go to their job anymore because of gas prices... yikes! This is not going to the most pleasant country to live in....Sometimes I wish I was amish.

People should TOTALLY go back to horse and buggy transportation!!!
